The movie most awaited finally hit the theaters on Friday, 25th March 2016 in USA. So far all sorts of reactions and reviews have been coming from the viewers. Here's a power packed synopsis about what went wrong and what couldn't have been more perfect!
Awesome direction by Zack Snyder. As always, he lived up to his marks. Larry Fong has done a great job in cinematography. You couldn't have imagined the scenes in the better possible way.
Talking about the story, movie has a story but it looks like they are trying to drag it and reinforce the story in the given set of events. So basically, movie is divided like- first half, story and second half, action.Story gets a bit boring at the end of first half. Second half is just action. From the beginning of the second half it is like Bammm! Justice League fans would be so happy to see such type of action and of course for another reason ;)
Talking about characters:
Ladies first! So let's start with wonder woman.
Even though there was not a significant role of the the Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot Pulled off an awesome Wonder Woman(WW). She hasn't done much as WW in the first half. Although, she kept the viewers interested by her mysterious behavior. Even our superhero of Gotham, Batman, falls prey to her mischievous behavior. You get to see a lot of WW in second half. And by a lot I mean hot, stunning, powerful action. Her entry couldn't have been anymore surprising. I do not want to spoil the movie for you, so I won't be describing the exact scenes (You are welcome! ;) ) So overall, Wonder Woman was a hit and all thanks to Gal Gadot!
Moving on to the superhero loved by almost everyone, Superman!
Describing in one sentence, 'Haters of superman can fall in love with him after watching this movie.' Superman portrayed by Henry Cavill was an actual super hero and the childish joker you usually get to see in Marvel. Henry Cavill tried to relive the character and no doubt he succeeded. Director, Zack Snyder, tried to show the weaknesses of superman to make it look convincing or at least believable that 'A Man can kill a God' and I must say it was really convincing. There was more Superman than Batman in the movie. Basically, it felt as if the movie was about Superman and batman couldn't digest the coexistence of another superhero, so he came up with a fight. There are a a few twists with Superman. And if you are about to watch the movie, then just hold your breath till the end. Superman really rocked in the movie.
Here comes Batman of Gotham!
We all can see that Ben Affleck worked really hard to generate a Batman inside himself but Batman couldn't look any dumber. It was the Batsuit which was exaggerated much more than what was needed. Batman was seeming like iron man just painted black. A normal Batsuit with classy shine of black would have looked better. And those blue lit eyes were a complete let down. There was no need of keeping lights in those eye slits in the Batsuit. During the fight it seems as if a cool superhero, Superman, is fighting with a fat dumbass, Sorry to say Batman. This is not Ben Affleck's mistake. He portrayed a classic Bruce Wayne. And you can really see that his workouts have given him awesome results. I would have to say that Bat's dialogues were perfect and made him look bad-ass. So, yes! There was some disappointment with Batman outfit but Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne was a smart choice.
The biggest disappointment was Lex Luthor.
A movie is not just about superheroes. It is pointless without a cruel villain. In our case, it is Lex Luthor. Director wanted that Joker feeling, so that it would have been another keypoint to the success of the movie, but he failed. Jesse Eisenberg was trying really hard to live up to the creepiness of the character but he that was a complete let down. Casting Director made a great mistake in this one. Lex was supposed to be a scholar and creepy character taunting the superheroes with his craziness but Jesse couldn't pull it through. So movie sucked in case of villain.
Other than this, the beginning of the movie is awesome. The idea of inserting batman in Man of Steel was a smart choice. It looked very neat and convincing that Batman was present at the scene where superman fights general Zod. The story starts from there and comes to an end with a mind blowing twist. The movie ended on a really exciting note.
So, all in all, the movie has its ups and downs. But it is a great movie overall. They have shown what we all were waiting for. It is just all the hype that was going on which made it look like the movie is disappointment. BUT IT IS NOT!
So if you haven't watched it yet, go and watch it before someone spoils it for you.
